Different Hats

Why is it so important that we have goals to reach and dreams to aspire?
There are days when I am glued in front of my computer, shifting tabs, calling prospects, meeting clients, closing deals either through my financial coaching business, tax and accounting business, or wedding planning business. I wear different hats. I feel like I have all the time in the world. But for what? "Para saan nga ba?," I often ask.
Growing up, I was accustomed to be always better in everything I do. I felt like what I do is not enough, hence I need to perform more. Being Top 10 of the class wasn’t enough so I have to strive more. Having 1 college degree isn’t enough so I have to get another 1. Getting multiple job offers from different companies was my thing in the past. Chasing promotions to chase more work. Now as an entrepreneur, I still continue to chase awards and recognitions.
There’s nothing wrong about it, though. But as I become an adult, I learned how to pick my battles. I realized that “being better” is nothing if you only do it for yourself. Now, I always strive to be better because there are people who I need to reach out to - to assist in their money management or help set financial goals or register their business in BIR or help plan their dream wedding. I do a lot of things because I want to reach out to more people; to create an impact.
THAT WAS THE GOAL. MY GOAL. To create an impact to one person one day at a time.
So why is it important to have goals to reach and dreams to inspire?
It keeps you grounded.
It motivates you on your darkest days.
It reminds you of the greater purpose you have.
Cheering for you,
Daisy
