GO SLOWLY OR STAND STILL?

In a closed door meeting, the boss and the employee sits. The boss cannot find the right words to say, so he just said, "I need to let you go of my team." Without any mentoring or consideration, he lets go of the employee. Just. Like. That. What shocked the employee the most is this line from her boss, "I need to let you go because I cannot handle another problem anymore." Imagine what the employee was feeling in that cold private conference room. She and her boss sharing the same air. Could she probably breath properly?

"I am a bright, responsible, and hard working person," she thought. Then suddenly one person decided to change all that. But you know what? In a snap, the employee sat straight. Thanked her boss for the opportunity. Stood up. Shook her boss' hand. Said nothing but gratefulness despite the boss' harsh leadership skills. There wasn't even leadership in it. It was plain end-the-problem-so-i-can-deal-with-my-other-problem kind of thing.

The employee decided, in a snap, to stand up and start walking again in a new and exciting path. She went on with her new career, unafraid if she goes slowly or if she makes a mistake because she knows she is surrounded by MENTORS who would support her in little or big accomplishments, and who would correct her mistakes. So even if one person did not believe in her before, she stood up, walked away with head up high, believed in herself again, and surrounded herself with people who brings out the best in her.
