Lesson 2 of 50 Lessons for Life's Little Detour by Regina Brett

Have you ever felt stuck on something? How long have you been in there?

Back when I was still in the corporate world, I often feel “stuck” with what I do and felt that being in front of the computer enclosed in a 4-corner building is not my thing.

“Gusto ko na talaga magresign at magstart ng business.” I can’t remember how many times I told this to myself when I was still employed.

Oftentimes, we always focus on the bigger picture, the grand scheme of things. Because of this, we get overwhelmed, unable to move forward.

It took me a lot of attempts (and tears) before I finally said goodbye to my corporate life. BECAUSE I know in my heart, that I’m meant for something else. I took that leap of faith of leaving my comfortable, good-paying job as a Finance Analyst in one of the largest conglomerates in the country. I had so many what-ifs and questions back then.

❓What business will I pursue?

❓Where do I get capital?

❓What if I fail?

❓What if I can’t commit to the hustle of being an entrepreneur?

STOP. I just took the next right step. Right next step FOR ME. NOT FOR ANYONE ELSE. A few believed in me at the start. A lot doubted my decision.

Yes, it’s always scary to make major changes in our life, but when we focus on the next right step we will have that courage to finally start moving forward. We take it step by step.

Do whatever your heart desires. What’s YOUR next right step? Take it.

Bloom where you are planted,

Daisy 🌼
