Run Your Own Pace

So I happened to pass by a video in youtube by a very successful vlogger. Her vlog was basically just about word vomiting every thought that’s in her mind at the moment. It’s such a genuine and real act of telling everyone what’s going through with her life as of the moment. We’re talking about a successful Coach here with thousands of subscriber yet so humble to share her feelings.

I just got caught up in the 28minute video and checked the comments section after watching. Actually shocked that I finished that quite a long vlog. But one key take away is that: Everyone hasn’t figured out their shit together, regardless how successful we think they are. And you know what, THAT IS OKAY. IT IS NORMAL.

I was really inspired by her video and it’s l sort of a testament that it is normal that we sometimes don’t know what else do we need to do. It is normal that we are caught up with our emotions in a specific moment. I personally had bad days and I swear I get puffy eyes in the morning. But the heck, we’re humans. We are supposed to feel. We are supposed to laugh, cry, get hurt, get back up. Right?

I currently have a personal project for myself that i’ve been working on since the start of quarantine here in the Philippines. I had started my social media pages, website and sorts like that. I can say, I WAS HECK ENJOYING EVERY BIT OF IT. Time really runs fast when you’re doing something you enjoy. Until one day, I crashed down. I felt like a computer crashed down and stopped working. I had no content to think, share and post. And I realized, “shit, i am burned out.” At first I was sort of in denial stage. Like, “wth i love what i’m doing I can’t be burned out.” Then, I realized you can really enjoy doing something and still get a burn out out of it. This just proves that whatever status you are in your career, it’s safe to still have a down moment where you can just relax, lie down and think of nothing. And THAT’S NORMAL.

So basically this is just a random blog as well. Maybe just a reassurance that yes, we have our personal goals. But let’s not forget we are human. We need to rest. We need down time. AND THAT IS OKAY.
